Wedding at Wynn, Las Vegas

This is my first experience with destination wedding. The location is the 5-star hotel – Wynn, Las Vegas. The couple had chosen to have the ceremony at the Primrose Courtyard – an intimate garden shaded by trees with two fountains that can hold up to 100 guests. When we arrived at the wedding salon location, there was another wedding ceremony going on. It appears that they booked the ceremony very close, one after another so that if a ceremony runs over time, the next couple and their guests will need to wait. What I thought could’ve been done better is that they have a waiting area for the guests. There was no reception table by the salon either (probably because they want things to move along quickly). We had to wait about 20 minutes outside the salon, since usually people arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time of the ceremony. The guest services staffs handed out water which was nice as it can get quit dry with all the air conditioning.

When they had cleared out the couple in the previous ceremony, they took about 10 minutes to clean up and redecorate the salon before we could enter. It was around 2:30 and the most of the seats were not shaded by the trees. A lot of guests had to use the wedding program to shield their face from the beating sun. It was really hot so once the ceremony was over, a lot of guests move into shaded areas. This is another thing you might want to consider when having an outdoor wedding in a high temperature place like Las Vegas.

The dinner reception was held in one of their many ballrooms. It was nicely decorated with fresh flowers for each table center piece. The buffet dinner was good but their dessert is even better. I got a chance to try their hotel buffet for brunch the follow day and loved their desserts. There’s a good selection and the portion size is just right so that you can try most of them and not feel like you’ve had too much sweets. They are also not too sweet which is my preference.

Here are the pictures. I only had my iPhone camera with me so the pictures are not very good.

[One of the fountains in the garden. I was lucky enough to sit under the shades. However by the time the ceremony was over I was baking under the sun.]

[The videographer filming the bride as she gets ready to walk in. This was the location where vows were exchanged.]

[The ballroom for reception. They had used square tables with a dance floor in the center. The DJ was sitting just to the right of this picture.]

[Table decorations. I really liked the small glass bow with the flower inside.]

[A deck of cards as wedding favors. Perfect for a Las Vegas wedding.]

[The wedding cake by the hotel. It came with two flavors, chocolate and buttercream. Both were very tasty.]

[The wedding program. A simple yet elegant design.]
